Match Pulse is a group chat built around live football. This page explains exactly what the app collects, why it needs it, and how to remove it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version. We collect what is needed to give you an account, put you in a group, and send you a notification when something happens in a match you follow. We do not sell your data, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and there is no advertising network in the app.
We use a small number of services to run the app, and each sees only what it needs:
Match data and highlights come from a football data provider. That is a one-way feed into the app: nothing about you is sent to them.
Messages you send in a group are visible to the members of that group. They are not public and are not indexed by search engines. Your username, display name, badges and the clubs you follow are visible to other signed-in users, because that is what a profile is for.
You can delete your account from inside the app, in Profile. Deleting removes your profile, your username, your team history, your badges and your pending invites.
Messages you already sent to a group are not automatically removed, in the same way that deleting an email account does not unsend your emails. If you want specific messages removed, delete them in the app before deleting your account, or contact us and we will do it.
We keep your account data for as long as the account exists. Crash reports are kept for 90 days. Nothing is kept because it might be useful later.
Match Pulse is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the date at the top changes and we will say so in the app.
